Are you ready for your next project?
Are you ready for your next project?
Hi, my name is Byron Pool, my business is BP Earthworks. I am a small project excavation contractor. My target market is the small projects that the larger excavation companies may be too busy for. My goal is to make your next project the best it can be through good communication, honesty and integrity.
Specializing in grade work
New construction backfilling and grading
Gravel driveways and parking areas
Drainage
Preparing for new sidewalks and patios
Above ground pool grades
No job too small
Your satisfaction is number one. Before I leave a project I would like you the customer to look it over and confirm that you are satisfied.
I do not juggle multiple project at the same time. I do one project at a time. If I ever have more than one project going, it is because I am waiting for the ground to dry, materials, or etc... You and your project are front and center!
My services include, but are not limited to, gravel driveways and parking areas, grade work for lawns, new construction, building pads, etc.. drainage including french drains, removal of old and preparation for new sidewalks and patios. I can dig footings for hardscapes as well as building foundations. I also dig above ground pool grades.
The next time you have a project, use this link to give an estimate of the amount of material you will need. Just put in your dimensions and click on Calculate. I recommend adding 10% to assure you have enough material. By increasing the material by 10%, you will ensure you have enough material to complete the job and avoid a second delivery charge.
Dirt is often times calculated and discussed in cubic yards. When it is purchased sometimes it is sold by the ton. Here is a quick multiplier. 1 yard of dirt is =1.5 Tons. This is a generalization, depends on moisture content of the dirt.
This website will calculate how much concrete you need for your project. Just enter the measurements and the program will calculate for you. I suggest adding 10% to be sure you have enough. You would not want to run short. I also suggest having a small pad formed up in case you have some extra. You paid for it, might as well use it.

This website will calculate how much any material will compact. Would be very helpful determining amount of material needed to fill and compact an area.

Do you ever use sack-crete? Here is a calculator, helps determine how many bags you will need for a given project.

Don't like sack-crete? Me either. How about mixing your own concrete? Here is a recipe for 4000psi concrete: 1 part cement, 3 parts stone, and 2 parts sand. You can mix this in a wheelbarrow or purchase or rent a mixer. More information can be found at the website below

This is an interesting video showing how to run a drain pipe under a sidewalk. Looks very interesting.
Check out these videos. Very entertaining and educational.
